Restaurants are Not the Problem
We, the undersigned operators and employees reiterate our commitment to providing a safe and reliable dining experience for each and every one of our guests.
Our industry has been besieged by the pandemic, with more than 3,000 closings and unfortunately it appears that more and more will close as the winter months approach. Our employees cannot take any more layoffs. With no federal funds and a depleted Unemployment system, it is unclear where our employees will go if we are forced to lay more off.
With each increased restaurant regulation and decision, the human toll on restaurant owners and their employees will be dramatically felt across all of Massachusetts. Increasing regulations and decisions regarding restaurants should be based on facts and data.^Show less
