In the event that the United States Federal Government defaults on the national debt due to Congress' inability to overcome partisan politics, we the citizens of the United States demand that our elected officials be held accountable for their inaction. The resulting budget cuts should also penalize those persons entrusted by the public with the power to have prevented this incident: The initial budget cuts must include denial of salaries, wages, reimbursements, etc. to all elected federal official until legislation has passed both houses of Congress, and has been signed into law by President Obama.
