Responsible Development In Newtown

This not the town for this type of development! Church Hill road is a nightmare now, I can't imagine what it would be if this development were approved.

We def don't need this here...

I am not located in Trumbull. I am a Newtown resident.

I am throughly disgusted by this proposal. Nothing about it makes any sense for our town. If you must build this monstrosity, find a location that can sustain it.

This is a ridiculous idea please drive down route 25 south and see all the vacant building. The eyesore next to cafe espresso is available! SO MANY vacant buildings I am totally opposed to this!

The proposed development is too large for the location and contradicts the Town's advertisements that Newtown is a place to come to live in a rural, uncongested area rather than an urban environment with all it's pollution and congestoin. So, no, this is not a good idea and is inconsistent with the Town's values.

Responsible sustainable development is vital for protecting the future of our town!

There is abundant vacant office space in Newtown. A new office building is unnecessary and unwelcome.

This type of development does not belong in Newtown. It would negatively affect our resources, traffic and character.

Would be a disgrace to this beautiful historic town

On top of all the issues outlined on this petition is the underlining issue of the type of housing that this project is meant for. Many of us have chosen Newtown because of it's educational opportunities, atmosphere and the safety of the community. An influx of low-income housing and redistribution brings with it a number of issues that will detract from what we have come to love about living here.

STOP

This development will destroy the beauty of our town. It is totally unnecessary and will be a black eye on our community. How much land must we destroy for greed?

Please, at the very least, scale it down. Nothing like this is needed in Newtown.

There are plenty of housing options in Newtown, no need to destroy open spaces for benefit of developers. Overdevelopment destroyed neighborhoods where I grew up in south Florida, I would be saddened to see that happen to Newtown, I would like to raise my daughter in the small town atmosphere that is Newtown.

I agree with everything his petition is saying and urge you to scale down that development.

This is simply over build and will detract from our community.

Please scale this down. We do not need all these rental units on a small residential street. It impinges on town services to a large extent and probably on the environment because of its density.

Build someplace else that does not affect so many issues.
