Re: TORT Notice dated 13 January 2026 – Communal Cupboards at 16 – 45 Charlotte Court, Invermead Close, W6 0WW
FAO: Leasehold Manager
Dear A2Dominion,
We, the undersigned residents of 16-45 Charlotte Court, are writing collectively in response to the TORT Notice issued on 13 January 2026 concerning items stored in the communal cupboards.
We fully recognise the importance of maintaining safe, compliant, and accessible shared spaces. However, we are concerned about the zero‑tolerance approach outlined in the notice. The communal cupboards have long served as essential shared amenities in a building where storage space in individual flats is limited.
A complete prohibition on their use would significantly reduce residents’ quality of life and remove a practical facility that has functioned effectively since the building's handover to residents in 2004.
We respectfully request that A2Dominion engage in a formal consultation with residents to explore a managed use approach rather than a blanket ban. This could include:
Clear guidelines on what may be stored safely
Fire‑compliant storage solutions
Regular inspections
Resident accountability measures
Remedial works where appropriate
To support an informed and constructive discussion, we also request:
Access to Crest Nicholson’s most recent Fire Risk Appraisal of the External Walls (FRAEW) and Fire Risk Appraisal for Charlotte Court.
Reviewing these documents is essential to determine whether practical adjustments or remedial works could be undertaken to ensure the communal cupboards can continue to be used safely and in compliance with fire safety regulations.
Residents of [16-45] Charlotte Court
