I wholly support this cause. My man had C.O.P.D. and was frequently in and out of the Lourdes Hospital,most times being in very close contact with patients that had a highly contagious illness, or would be left to wait for ages in A&E- thus further complicating the condition further. The staff in A&E are fabulous and do a fantastic job, but they are under pressure all the time. This new unit would help the patients and staff enormously. Isn't that what the hospital is all about?

Im a suffer of C.O.P.D. as its a serious respiratory problem,we desperately need a qualified respiratory doctor in our co of louth, please hear our pleas.

Absolutely necessary to have a dedicated ward for COPD patients
In the long term it will save money as if patients are separated from public wards,they avoid being infected by the many viruses in any hospital

People who suffer from respiratory disease in Drogheda and surrounds deserve to be cared for in a designated respiratory care unit. I fully support this petition to reinstate proper respiratory care for those in need of it.
