We are currently campaigning to have a Dedicated Respiratory Unit established in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. This would be of significant help to people suffering from COPD and other respiratory illnesses, reducing the risk of infection, improving patient outcomes and shortening the amount of time spent in hospital.

I just checked the page and saw we hit triple digits which is just wild because I honestly thought it would be mostly family and friends signing at this stage. It feels like this is actually going somewhere now so thank you for sticking with me while I figure out the best way to get this into the right hands.

My mum passed away last year from COPD. Wish this had been in place then and someone could have helped her. She was taken much too soon. I hope that other COPD patients will be able to able to avail of this.
Each acute major centre needs a specialist area to care for patients, all data shows that patients have better outcomes from specialist centres
Im a suffer of C.O.P.D. as its a serious respiratory problem,we desperately need a qualified respiratory doctor in our co of louth, please hear our pleas.
Absolutely necessary to have a dedicated ward for COPD patients In the long term it will save money as if patients are separated from public wards,they avoid being infected by the many viruses in any hospital
It would be great to have a respiratory consultant in Drogheda I have chest conditions and have to travel to Dublin.
Please help our people with copd

My father was a COPD patient in the Lourdes hospital. On several occasions we brought him to A & E when he was very ill and had difficulty breathing. He was discharged several times when he should have been admitted because of lack of beds and the threat of him catching an infection that could have possibly killed him. There is a dire need for a respiratory unit in this hospital.
