While most people would love to see statues of their idols up in various strategic places, it is unfortunate that there is desecration of statues. Let\'s work on a strategy that serves two purposes. One - super maintenance of all statues, and two - no opportunity for desecration. Let\'s get rid of any kind of violence in India that is precipitated by desecration of statues. Why should the society bear the brunt of violent protests, with protestors pulling frightened commuters out of cars, buses and trains and setting fire to the vehicles Following are just three occasions in the recent past when unfortunate instances of desecration of statues have taken place. Place them in a safe, respectable place, far away from the miscreants. Create museums that will accommodate all the statues, where they will be cared for and protected. This will not only save lives that succumb to mob fury but also financial and property loss. It will also ensure proper care of statues.
