Respect DNC Election Rules
We, the undersigned, believe that the delegates resulting from the January 15, 2008 Democratic primary in Michigan and the January 29, 2008 Democratic primary in Florida should not be seated at the Democratic National Convention. The state Democratic parties in Florida and Michigan scheduled their primaries ahead of February 5, 2008 in violation of Democratic National Committee rules. The Democratic parties in these states scheduled their primaries with the knowledge that they were violating rules established by the national party and that their delegates would not be seated at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. The Democratic National Committee, Florida Democratic Party, and Michigan Democratic Party should adhere to the agreed upon election rules. All parties should work to provide Democratic voters in these states with an opportunity to have their voices heard through new elections or caucuses that follow Democratic National Committee rules.
