The short story is, the Black Stars deserve a fair chance against a decent England National team. The Ghana National team have shown their worth in recent competitive meetings with the best teams in the world, in the last 2 World Cups. In both instances, the black stars did not play the England National team, and in 2010 the Black Start saw more progress than the England National team. so the question is: Does a B Grade England National team deserve an audience with the Black Stars? There has been much excitement amongst Ghanaians about the England v Ghana friendly at Wembley on 29-March-2011, and a many have bought their match tickets, trusting that both sides will be at their best and spectators will get a true entertainment for their cash. There is so much interest that tickets are SOLD OUT!!! Two days to the match, the England team releases its top players back to their respective clubs - meaning, the Black Stars will end up playing a team that is surely not England's best. Where is the respect in this - to the Black Stars who have shown in recent years that they are truly able to mix with , and BEAT the best teams in the world! Where is the respect to all those who have bought plane tickets (etc.) and traveled to London for this match, for those buying tickets to the match (tickets which are not cheap!) Think what Asamoah Gyan has done for Sunderland Think what Mensah has done for Sunderland Think what Muntari has done for Sunderland Think what Kojo Asamoah has done for Udinese Think what Ayew has done for Marseile ... just to name a few Think what the England National team could learn from the Black stars! Leading media houses have expressed their disappointment at England's decision to leave out the big name players.
