Israel is just using this Temporary Cease-fire as a political play to try and make Gaza/Hamas look bad - if Hamas continues firing the rockets. All the Israeli are doing is taking a rest, re-arming and taking a rest; and waiting/forcing Hamas to look bad in the eyes of the International Community. And Israel is trying to make itself look good by allowing much needed food and water and other supplies get in to help people. What is really needed to prevent any more needless civilian deaths, is for the UN Security Council to declare a Unilaterial Ceasefire via a Resolution; and move UN Peacekeepers into Gaza to stop Israel and Hamas starting up the fighting, again. In 1948, this territory was a Protectoriat of the United Nations; and the same should be considered this time too, to enable the citizens of Gaza to get back up on their feet, and the rule of Interational Law be applied. This Petition is set up to go directly online to the UN Security Council. I honestly never thought this would gain this much steam but here we are and it makes me feel like maybe people actually care about getting those UN peacekeepers on the ground. Sometimes I stare at the screen and wonder how we ever got here because it felt so static at the start but now it feels like a real conversation is actually blooming.

Whatever side you are on you cant deny that people are starving and dying. peacekeeping is the only logical step forward now.
The amount of innocent suffering here is just unreal. The UN needs to step up and do something for once instead of just watching from the sidelines.

It feels like nobody cares about the civilians being crushed in the middle of these political games. UN needs to take control and actually enforce a real ceasefire.
