Students' Representative Council

Whereas, the T. A. Marryshow Community College (TAMCC) Students’ Representative Council (SRC) is vested with the authority to govern, control and administrate the Student Association; and,

Whereas, the college has preempted its operations on the directive of the Prime Minister for two weeks as of March 13th 2020, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, and,

Whereas, the closure of the college has prohibited pre-election activities such as the ‘Why You Should Vote For Me’, the Presidential Debate, and general campaigning of the candidates thereby depriving the Student Association a fair chance of knowing the candidates thus rendering them unprepared to vote.

Therefore, Let It Be Resolved, subject to section 16 of the T.A. Marryshow Community College Act with the direction of the College Council the SRC hereby postpones the 2020 elections carded for March 26th- 27th, and,

Let It Further Be Resolved, the 2020 elections will commence as soon as practicably possible on a date specified by the SEC after TAMCC recommences full operation.
