Resolution to fight for the Political Revolution, to challenge the wealthy Donor Class within the Democratic Party and build a new Party system on a foundation of fighting economic populist political demands and citizens’ small individual donations.

WHEREAS, the Democratic Party cannot hope to fulfill it’s true promise and role in American life, to fight for the interests of everyday working people of this country, without directly confronting the influence of the millionaire and billionaire Donor Class within the Democratic Party; and at the same time building a new Party system with its foundation firmly based on citizens’ small individual donations and fighting populist economic demands advocated by citizens on social media, instead of Big Money donations and expensive political advertising on corporate media.

WHEREAS, incumbent Democratic Party candidates who focus on raising money from the top-down, rather than from the bottom-up, accepting the status quo of the DNC (Democratic National Committee) should be primaried by Democrats who focus on raising money from the bottom-up and who run on a platform of fighting middle class economic demands.

WHEREAS, no real progress toward winning the demands of a working-class agenda can be made until the influence of Big Money is defeated within the Party.

WHEREAS, the Democratic Party cannot claim to be living-out the principle of democratic representation, if it does not clearly run on popular middle class fighting demands such as a Medicare for All medical insurance system, government negotiated prices for pharmaceuticals, tuition-free colleges and universities, a Wall Street Sales Tax, a $15 per hour living wage, and defense of Social Security and other important programs for everyday people’s lives.

WHEREAS, there is no politics without class consciousness.

WHEREAS, We the People cannot hope for democratic government unless we first understand what we want and then demand it.

WHEREAS, power concedes nothing without a demand.

NOW THEREFORE, THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF OKLAHOMA RESOLVES:

• The way forward to victory as a party and renewal as a middle class society is to fight for the Political Revolution at every level of government on the basis of fighting economic populist demands and citizens’ small individual donations.
