As the proud granddaughter and daughter of union members ,Maintenence a Way Employees I ask the AFL-CIO allow their mem,bers and the public to hear all of their options.

Voters need to be informed

As a Canadian, my country will be heavily affected by whoever is elected the next President of the United States. It is extremely unfair not to allow the Green Party candidate Jill Stein, nor the Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, into the debates. For the sake of World Peace, as well as to begin a new era for the betterment of mankind, please allow Jill Stein & Gary Johnson into the debates immediately! Thank you.

I'm Green Party and believe all Candidates that achieve Ballot access in sufficient States to win this Presidential election should be included in the Nationally Televised Debates.

I agree with all of this we are not a democracy anymore and our government does not represent we the people.

Resolution for AFL-CIO sponsorship of 2016 Presidential Debates Whereas, human society is moving rapidly and undeniably towards self-destruction on multiple tracks. Whereas, these multiple tracks include, but are not limited to, militarism and war, pollution of the environment, global climate change, the spread of nuclear radiation from weapons, nuclear power, and “accidents”, and introduction of chemicals and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) into our food supply. Whereas, these tracks towards destruction are the results of decisions taken by human society and therefore may be corrected or reversed by human society. Whereas the United States economy is 25% of the world economy, Whereas, the United States spends nearly 50% of total world military spending, Therefore, the citizens of the United States have a unique and disproportionate responsibility to correct the course of human society. Whereas, the practice of democracy requires an educated and informed electorate. Whereas, the major media has given billions of dollars in free coverage to both the Trump and Clinton campaigns. Whereas, the Commission of Presidential Debates is controlled by the two major parties and is likely to exclude all but the Democratic and Republican candidates. Whereas, the AFL-CIO has a responsibility to educate and inform the members of affiliated unions and working people in general. Therefore, be it resolved that the AFL-CIO sponsor, organize, broadcast, or live stream, a minimum of three presidential debates of at least two hours each, and invite the participation of candidates of the Democratic, Green, Libertarian, and Republican Parties. And furthermore, that all candidates that agree to participate be given equal time. And finally, that this resolution be presented, with all due speed to the AFL-CIO.

We need fair elections and open debates so that we can choose the candidate that best represents us!!

We Americans need exposure to all our viable choices for President so we don't get stuck with duopoly insanity and oppression.

Free speech for all candidates ensures free speech for all of us.

Labor could play a central role in educating members and voters about what's really going on. This would be a good first step.

It is our right to hear the major party candidates when running for any government seat in the country, especially the presidency.
