We are in need of a total change in leadership for Cleveland Pride Inc. The current leader, Todd Saporito, and his board have shown that they are widely irresponsible and completely incapable of carrying out the one and only mission of Cleveland Pride Inc: to organize the annual Cleveland Pride event. I sign this petition in the hopes that Saporito (and his board) resign, enabling some new, capable local leaders to take their places and begin pushing Cleveland Pride to the forefront of social events.

I am so sad to hear this news. Perhaps many local churches can host pride events along with other gay friendly neighborhoods.

this is the second pride canceled in as many years. clearly better leadership is needed. Many bigger cities had safe and happy pride festivals. Boo to you Todd Shapiro!

A real shame concidering the hateful RNC just was there and this is proof in the pudding that Trump as President, Republicans will spread that hate nationwide until we are back to the reign of the natzi regime.

As a member in the gay community I'm very hurt!! I had to miss pride last year all because of a little rain. I understand pride is better dry. But I was forced not to go and be free with me people because the day change):

The reason provided is ambiguous and, truthfully, makes no sense. There has been no communication - no outreach for assistance - with the larger community prior to this announcement. I feel that the entire board has, over the years, lost touch with the larger community and simply do the "same ole dog and pony show" each year. As the city of Cleveland has moved more into the limelight, this entire group headed by Todd Saparito has failed to adapt and bring the event into mainstream. In short, while well meaning, I think the entire group needs to be replaced with more experienced people having more aggressive vision and networking finesse.

Dump Todd----Gay Pride means PRIDE is being gay. Getting of bed can be dangerous these days. One could slip in the tub while showering. Let someone take charge who is proud, innovative, positive and a change-maker for the GLBTQ communities.

Unfortunately I'm not sure that signing this petition will work. Cleveland Pride is a corporation and run by a Board. The Board would have to vote to remove Todd. I honestly don't think that the Board would do that as most were hand picked for the position.
