The point of pride is visibility. Unacceptable in a time when visibility is most needed - in this "social climate." It feels very closeting. What message is this sending to young or newly out people?

Where is the evidence of a "threat" How is it we can have the successful RNC and a million person championship celebration and not have the ability to have protect a few thousand people in a localized location? This seems like some kind of face saving excuse due to an oversight. So disappointed.

If Cleveland Pride, Inc is a not for profit, you don't need the faulty leaders. It is absolutely possible to do a hostile take over, or form a new Pride organization. A strong leader would need to get with city officials, explain your concerns with the current organization, and ask for direction in forming an alliance with the city to start a new organization. It's not easy and would require a lot of work, but it's possible to do.

What is going on? First, you move to August, which is beyond stupid. June is gay pride month, not August. Now, some idiot decides to cancel the event??? Get your act together. This is why Cleveland Pride has lame attendance compared to other cities comparable to Cleveland. Maybe the board should vote to fire itself?????
