Cancelling Pride without a reason? No announcement cancellation due to distress or threat?
Not strictly asking for your resignation, just asking to open a dialogue with the people you are supposed to represent.
I am a co-chair of a Pride in a much smaller area and pulled off a great group of events in 3 weeks by reaching out to the community... since we work for them.

Shameful. I gerw up in Cleveland and have lived in Orlando for the last 14 years. We in Orlando are not scared to go out and do things. St. Pete pride happened weeks after our massacre and only an hour away. This is the year that this community needs this event more than ever and you choose to cower in fear. What an awful image to put out there for the LGBT community to receive. This is unbelievable.

Pride canceled due to safety concerns? We have a million people downtown with no problems, and an RNC with very little fanfare. Sounds like more like apathy than real concern.
