The charity Mind run a campaign trying to raise awareness that 1 in 4 people are likely to have a mental health condition. We the undersigned think it is ridiculous to suggest that people who have mental health conditions should therefore accept less than minimum wage paying jobs because people with mental health conditions and disabilities are at a disadvantage in a competitive job climate.
Instead of suggesting that people with disabilities, mental health issues and learning difficulties should settle for less, MP's should be raising awareness and calling for employers to increase their knowledge and accessibility for people with disabilities. Just because a person has a disability does not mean they cannot function at the same level as an 'able-bodied' person.
Stating such ignorant and disabalist comments further concludes that Philip Davis is not fit to represent the constituents of Shipley let alone be given a place in the House of Commons.

His track record is just appalling. Not the first time he has shown how little he cares about anyone but himself.
How can someone in his position be so completely out of touch with reality. He really has no business sitting in parliament saying things like that.
totally unacceptable comments. shipley deserves better than this guy.
people have enough to deal with without an mp suggesting they are worth less than everyone else. time for him to go.
PHILIP DAVIS IS A DISGRACE. WE NEED REPRESENTATIVES WHO ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT VULNERABLE PEOPLE AND HE CLEARLY DOESNT.

It's not just his comments on mental health conditions but also his failure to declare an interest in gambling businesses when the matter of high street gambling comes up for debate.
