Get him out now. He's ruining our city. Follow the money.

Anthony Carson was the worst manager to ever be employed by the City of Pekin.

The manager should work for the Council. Council inaction will not age well. Allowing this to continue is weak leadership.

Mr. Myers, this is about sustained and constant abusive behavior. Please listen to your staff and citizens. You are losing people who have supported you.

The emergency staff are taking a huge risk here and would not do this unless it was critical and there were no other options. Support you employees.

It is ironic that his controlling and micromanaging behavior turned out to be his undoing. These stories are devastating and so personal. He needs to immediately work out a separation and stop this bleeding. His career is in the balance. There are such hard feelings that past cities are coming forward. The avalanche will continue. It takes a special kind of talent to be this disliked. Bizarre.

I usually don’t get involved in city business, but even I have had enough if this failure. This is a pattern. Do something mayor!

I have worked in city government for 25 years. When a manager is this conniving and the council does nothing, it is a failure of leadership by the council.

This comes down to leadership. Will the council do what is right? It’s ok to be friends with the city manager but this is business. Tony needs to go so that the city can move forward.

Fire everyone in the city except tony... or just fire tony. That is really your choice. The council thought by giving him unfettered control, they would not have to make hard decisions publicly. How did that work out? Ha.

I urge the council to take this seriously. There really is a problem here and it takes leadership to resolve it. Do what is best for the citizens and staff. This is a deeply insecure person that has become a liability for the council.
