My name is Charity Chappell, my father is Mark Chappell my mother was his victim I was born on December 12, 1993 I was adopted 3 days old this situation is sick. I just found out that I was adopted at the age of 30. My adoptive Mother said my Mother took me to the hospital and that she went crazy and didn’t want my Father to keep me. Also, my adoptive Mother said my father was a white man and my mother was Asian and his last name was Chappell. I’m from Arizona and any information someone can share with me about Mark will be very helpful. To student whom March Chappell molested, I am glad to read that your happily married, and haven’t allowed Mark and the devil, to cause you to walk away from God. I believe that school and it’s leadership did much harm and obviously was NOT being led by God; which only leaves one other choice. But, the one Great thing that came from my time there was the knowledge that there IS a God, He is the almighty, the creator of All. It’s a testament to Gods power that even under that sinful, Godless leadership, His message still came through. I MUST also state : That idea, you need to “forgive” Mark Chappell, is NOT SCRIPTURAL !!!! Our Lord himself has NEVER forgiven anyone who has not asked for forgiveness, with a truly repentant heart ! That doesn’t mean your “bitter” etc it just means No man can be forgiven without first acknowledging his wrong doing and then with a truly repentant spirit asking for forgiveness! Marks repeated misdoings, (you were NOT THE ONLY young girl, he did this to! Thats a fact! ) his lack of acknowledgement of the harm he caused to you and OTHER girls, his refusal to acknowledge what scripture says about the requirements for a pastor, where are first wife and kids? , show he has never truly repented of these sins, it is therefore impossible for you to forgive him for things he is not seeking forgiveness for. Mark Chappell should examine his own salvation as should his congregation. How can someone with the Holy Spirit living in them continue to lie, hide and pay people to bury his crimes! How arrogant for the Deacons of this church to use the “work” done at First Baptist as some kind of proof of Marks fitness to pastor. It’s NOT Mark that brings souls to God! God can and does use all sorts of things to bring souls to Him; addiction, financial hardship, (thief on the cross was facing imminent death), abusive parents, even pervert youth pastors, that doesn’t mean these things/ behaviors are of God or that they should Not be called out as si

This is all true! It runs in the family, the father, Dr. Larry Allen Chappell Jr. created monsters and they all hide behind the bible. I know the entire family when his father was the pastor at First Baptist Church in Long Beach. He has and the sons also a long standing record of womanizing, I was one of them seeking council during my son's illness with cancer. The father is a brainwasher, all hop from church to church claiming Gods word, all have had affairs after affairs, and still think they can fool people. They have done so much damage to people and go on like it's ok. At the time I also went for help to our Assistant Pastor Dave Green and his wife Wanda Green. I was told to not tell anyone and I also kept it quiet. As time went on the Lord moved my husband and I out of town due to a job transfer and Dr. Larry Chappell told my husband to his face that I would be back. It took me 14 years before I was healed. Today, I serve the Lord with no shame and can speak the truth and tell women to use their voice. God help those who cover up with the Lords word and do evil cause you will answer for all that you did and keep doing. Disgraceful behavior. Repentance is not enough when you cross lines like that. He needs to resign before he does more damage to families.

Get him out. No place for this in a church or anywhere else. Prayers for the victim.
