We, the citizens of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, petition the Reynoldsburg Education Association, asking you to accept the contract that has been offered by Reynoldsburg Board of Education. Members of Reynoldsburg Board of Educationare elected by the community, have a responsibility to the community, and are answerable to the community.Reynoldsburg City Schools are a not for profit organization, subsequently, the School Board's sole motivation is to secure a contract that is favorable to thecommunity. We agree with the principal of merit pay and acknowledgethat rewards need to be based onjob performanceand not simply granted due to another year in the labor force.We ask that you put the children of the community first and stop using the threat of strike to achieve personal gain.
