Residents' Parking Scheme in Hardwicke Road and Worcester Road

Whilst we are not as badly affected as many of our neighbours as we have some off road parking, we are acutely aware of the problems most of those around us have parking. In town centre roads you can't expect to always park outside your house, but it isn't unreasonable to be able to park somewhere, but there are occasions when there simply are no spaces in any of the surrounding roads. If I can help at all please let me know.

Brilliant. This really represents the interests of ll residents of our roads as a community and is a great move. Parents, those physically less able and everyone who chooses (and pays!) to live in this lovely area shoudl be allowed to park easily and safely, something which the local council seems to have ignored to date. This is a great move and one which I wholeheartedly endorse. Securing parking for the residents of these two roads increases safety especially for those with child considerations and the less physically able. If this means we can allow our kids to ride a bike locally too that would be great! This feels like the right move for us as a community and one which is long overdue. I agree wholeheartedly with the proposal for residents' parking in Hardwicke and Worcester Roads Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. The parking situation has deteriorated significantly over the past few years and is now intolerable. I would be happy to pay an annual administration charge to operate the scheme. The opportunity to buy a visitors' parking voucher (or similar) would also be helpful.

I fully support this petition as both of these roads are used by non residents for parking. Many London Boroughs, such as Kingston, have very effective schemes limiting parking to residents and visitors, the latter to a period of say 2 hours.

The devil is in the detail. The council should give free permits one per household which can be used by visitors.

I agree with all the concerns raised. In addition to the safety issues raised perhaps the council should consider the potential revenue stream, even if this would require their own employees to pay for their parking on a daily basis.

I absolutely agree with the safety concerns raised. In addition the non-residents often park their cars on the pavement itself which significantly obstructs the walkways for pedestrian and could be a potential hazard.
