Residents of Wyre: Replace Bottle Crates with Standard Wheelie Bin

I agree. I really struggle on a wet windy day trying to carry those pathetic bottle boxes out. A bin would be much better and in line with Fylde and Blackpool Council

Very much needed and will reduce amount of rubbish on the highways on a windy day when the inadequate tubs are overful.

Living on the sea front our green boxes and contents are frequently blown away. A proper bin could be secured more easily to fences etc during bad weather

It is very awkward for older people or people with a disability to lift and carry the crate. One of the smaller bins would be much more suitable

As a resident of Thornton cleveleys, I find it difficult to keep my rubbish in the bin for two reasons; seagulls and weather. Living by the front is horrific and seagulls just know when bin day is! I'd prefere a full bin so I could put a catch on it. At least the rubbish would stay in,

Hate the boxes absolutely useless and difficult to move once full.

We don't put them out if it's really windy as they usually end up down the street somewhere or in someone else's garden

bins would be alot better then the boxes that on collection day fly around the street this would stop this happening and keep all bottles tins etc in the bin making less mess FY7 7JJ

When its windy its a nightmare boxes and their contents are blowing all over the roads making driving more dangerous as you have to dodge the empty boxes, all the recycling ends up on the streets and it looks such a mess in the area and they are heavy and awkward to put out.

Make it easier for residents in long haul it would be better

Brilliant idea. I have lost count the number of times I have chased these boxes down the street not just mine but also my neighbours. Would make much more room in my garden also. Also look a lot tidier.

The boxes are a health and safety issue. Wheelie bin much easier to manage, no chance of plastic blowing away either or trying to find your box after it has been emptied

Not only are residents at risk from a health and safety perspective (manual handling), but the operatives are also being put at risk, unnecessarily so. For the life of me, I cannot understand the logic behind emptying the plastic containers into, wait for it, a wheelie bin!! Surely the risk mitigation is for the residents to fill a wheelie bin at source, reducing the risk for all parties involved.
