Don't destroy one of the few beautiful areas Middletown has with construction!

The proposed location of Chapel Hill Road will be a detriment to the area. Not only are the roads not wide enough to support the high traffic the school will bring, Middletown does not need any more development! There are already many vacant areas across town! Please find another location!

This construction will greatly affect the Chapel Hill area negatively. There are far better locations in the surrounding areas, where it is already developed land where this school can be built. Harming undeveloped land in NJ is an absolute NO in a state where development has taken away much of our forest. For, we all too soon forget we are residing in what should be a temperate deciduous forest.

With so little open space left in Middletown, they should not be allowed to disrupt the natural beauty that remains in the Chapel Hill area.

Middletown spent enough money preparing Croydon Hall for this school. Now they want to rip up our beautiful farmland with no regard to neighbors, traffic, safety, our the environment

I lived in the Middletown area my entire life, just off Chapel Hill Road and Kings Hwy. Everyone needs to bear in mind 4 major issues with this project: 1) the increase in traffic on an already incredibly busy road that has increased in the number of cars traveled per day at a rapid rate over the past 20 years. It has become a main artery through Middletown from Red Bank to Atlantic Highlands as we saw on September 11th with ambulances and emergency vehicles traveling to the ferry. We also saw this during Hurricane Sandy, emergency vehicles again used Chapel Hill as a main access road. Increasing traffic by 200+ cars daily during peak traffic times will certainly cause an issue at the top of Chapel Hill and Kings Hwy likely needing a stop light which will need to favor the students exiting. A complete eyesore and traffic issue for the blind turn on Kings Hwy towards Chapel Hill. Additionally, the intersection of RT 36 and Chapel Hill will be innundated with cars! Imagine even MORE traffic at that light! The jughandle off RT36 towards Red Bank around that TD Bank. INSANITY. 2) Chapel Hill sits in a valley. The acoustics of this land MUST be laid out and hear out. Imagine a competitive game on the field and the screams that would echo throughout the Valley. I know this as we can certainly hear neighbors merely partying. Imagine hoards of people at the school for events and so forth...certainly this MUST be looked into. 3) The environment. This is one of the few remaining areas for our wildlife population. Though they will likely be driven out by development in general, in the future, there is a major difference between the environmental impact of 9 homes that may reside on the land versus a school of 300+ people...The impact on our sewar system and wetlands in this area MUST be looked into further. Without, this would be insanity. Why not develop the school on ALREADY DEVELOPED land, why cut into what remains undeveloped...There are also enough schools in the area...

An environmental impact study was done in 2008. I have requested a copy from the Planning Board. I think the study is one-sided. The developers acknowledge the wildlife in the area- even the protected birds nesting less than 1/4 a mile away. They simply concluded - with no reasons stating why - that the development would not impact the wildlife. Please.
I have not see a traffic report, however, the last thing Chapel Hill needs is a bunch of teenagers driving the road.

I could make a compelling argument as to why Chapel Hill Road is already unsafe and overburdened with it's current amount of traffic. I think the hurry to approve and then begin construction on this particular tract of land needs to be questioned.

There are 4 empty school buildings within a 12 mile radius of this property why d.on't they use one of those buildings

Since the school is asking to subdivide the property - they would be free to develop the second plot - meaning a school AND houses (or whatever they want to seek in the future).
It is naïve to think the school is just going to hang on to an empty plot.
