I am sure people are unaware of this issue. A friend told me and I am very concerned. This is a field not giant stadium. What is the environmental impact, was a full impact study done. What about a study on impact to sleep disruption for children and adults. Lastly, what about the impact to endangered wildlife such as bats, migrating birds etc. When street lights were changed in Bronxville many residents complained headaches, not able to deal with the sound the humming etc, can you imagine the impact from this size 20 to 60 feet huge light will have. This will have a huge impact on quality of life and environment not to mention the value of property. Please don't allow this, I am asking the mayor's of Tuckahoe, Bronxville and Eastchester to not allow this.

Lights are not warranted in a largely residential area. Teams will be practicing in the evening causing problems with noise and parking. Opening up the use of the field for community groups will also exacerbate the parking and noise problems.
Concordia is not a good neighbor. The Village of Bronxville is having major problems with student commuters parking on adjacent streets. The college administration is not cooperating with the Village to solve this problem.
We need a large turnout tuesday evening at the planning board meeting, voicing our objection to this ridiculous proposal.
I would like to see a field that does not drain down Rose Ave. Why do they need lights for only 9 nights a year?

Concordia has always had the reputation of being a “good neighbor.” In reviewing their proposal, I believe their good neighbor status is an affront and a total disregard for the homeowners surrounding their soccer field. As a resident of Winslow Circle for 22 years with my property backing directly up to their soccer field, I can attest to the fact that I have made many phone calls over the years to Mr. Schultz, the Director of Facilitues, to advise him that unkept trees have fallen, broken through my fences, overgrown weeds must be cut, rats coming through my fence from their property, poison ivy growing over my fence from their property....what confounded me was the fact that they meticulously maintained that soccer field, but ignored the property right behind it. Until they were called by me or one of the neighbors. Do we really think they will maintain it going forward?? Even with the increased usage?? I think not. Just recently, a branch from one of their unmaintained trees came crashing down and crushed my metal trellis....I called Mr. Schultz who advised me that Concordia could remove the branch but I had to go through my homeowners to collect for the broken trellis. Really?? Their unmaintained tree broke my trellis and I have to go through my homeowners? What’s wrong with this picture?? Now I am left with trying to figure out how to remove a broken and crushed metal trellis, with no assistance from Concordia. The scary thing is what if one of my grandchildren were playing back there when THEIR BRANCH fell, who would be responsible? If that branch could bend a metal trellis, just think what it could have done to a child....would they still tell me to go through my homeowners??? Shame on you Concordia. Trying to make a buck to attract new students.....Offer a new curriculum and But don’t HURT THE NEIGHBORS THAT HAVE PUT UP WITH YOUR LACK OF PROPERTY MAINTENANCE from day 1.
