Proposed Burr Ridge Hotels South Frontage Rd. at 75th & Hamilton/Drew Ave Petition to Oppose the Odyssey Hotel Development Plan Petition Summary: The residents of Burr Ridge, IL are opposed to the development of any new hotels on 15W150 South Frontage Road. The developer’s proposal requires the issuance of a Special Use for a hotel as well as requiring approval of a Planned Unit Development for a 5 story structure on land that is currently zoned for 3 stories. The residents are concerned about various issues, including but not limited to: the extreme height of the structure and the visibility within a residential area, traffic, safety, transients, flooding, lighting, landscaping, diminishing property values, noise both day and night, and the negative impact on our small country like community. There are no exceptional benefits to the community if this development were to move forward. Action Petitioned For: We, the undersigned concerned citizens, urge our leaders, Mayor M. Straub, Village of Burr Ridge Trustees, and the Village of Burr Ridge Plan Commission to OPPOSE the development of TWO hotels of 4 or more stories on South Frontage Road that abuts 75th Street and Drew & Hamilton Streets.
