As homeowners and residents of the historic Beverly Green and Southridge neighborhoods, we support the principles set forth in our Neighborhood Plan : residential development that enhances the quality of life and preserves the residential character of our neighborhood.
The C-1 zoning designation that the developer is seeking would open 6th St to commercial encroachment on a residential street. This rezoning is not necessary for the residential project that the developer is proposing.
Accordingly, we oppose the developer's request for commercial rezoning of the site on 6th Street (ZON 29009).
The developer continues to push for this rezoning despite knowing full well it ruins our residential character. They think we will get tired and go away but they are dead wrong. We are currently drafting formal objections to hand directly to the planning commission.

The developer clearly thought we would just roll over and let them destroy our neighborhood for their own profit. This incredible surge of support proves they were dead wrong and now they have no choice but to face the people whose homes they are trying to ruin.

Ridiculous to even consider this. My family has lived here for 20 years and we deserve to keep our quiet street the way it is. Vote no.
