The signed residents of Reserve at Long Lake Ranch (RLLR) understand the closures associated with our Amenity Center (pool, tennis court, basketball court, trails, and amenity center clubhouse) due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, with the state of Florida announcing the phased reopening of similar public and private facilities, we demand input into the process of re-opening our own facilities.

The residents of RLLR who pay the CDD board seek input, demand feedback, and want a way forward and associated timelines to reopening our amenity center.

  1. Waiting until the 28 MAY CDD Board meeting to consider reopening or discussing the amenity center without any input, process, or transparency by the CDD board is unacceptable.
  2. RLLR residents understanding is that only the CDD Chairwoman has the power to convene a special CDD meeting to discuss the reopening of the Amenity Center.
  3. RLLR residents are aware that our neighbors in Long Lake Ranch CDD Board is convening on 07 MAY to discuss the reopening Amenity Center.
  4. RLLR residents request that the CDD Board immediately convene a telephonic or video conferencing communications systems (VTC) capable meeting pursuant to Executive Orders 20-52 and 20-69 issued by Governor Desantis on March 9, 2020 and March 20, 2020, respectively, and pursuant to section 201.54(5)(b)2. We request this meeting be convened no later than 15 MAY.
  5. RLLR residents understand that changes my be need to be made at the Amenity Center to keep residents healthy and safe. We believe that can be guided by recommendations set forth by the CDC, local, state, and other federal guidance, to include guidance issued by CDC regarding community use of pools and recreational facilities. We request input, and insight into the following measures taken by the CDD upon reopening:
  • Status of cleaning schedule amenity center bathrooms
  • Status Procurement of necessary cleaning and sanitation supplies.

Lack of insight, transparency, and input into this process by the residents who live here, pay the CDD fees, and board members stipends is unacceptable. We will be part of the process to keep out community safe, friendly, and enjoyable for those who live here.

We request acknowledgement within 24 hours of receiving this petition and scheduling of the meeting no more than 72 hours after acknowledgement, which will be sent to CDD Chairwoman and Rizzetta Representative to the CDD Board.

Signed,

Residents of the Reserve at Long Lake Ranch
