This petition is an extension of the Rescue The Enslaved 2012 campaign focused on the ablation of sex trafficking. The purpose of this local petition is to change the criminal laws to create harsher consequences for sex traffickers so as to serve as a true deterrent to those contemplating such activity.

Once we reach 5,000 supporters, this petition, along with the associated signatures and comments, will be forwarded to Thunder Bay's city counsel with the hope that our voice will finally be heard. It is the campaign's goal to push local law-makers to move forth with corrective efforts which address the seriousness of this issue.
