The board has been silent since the purchase motion passed. I am currently gathering documents to challenge the premium paid by taxpayers.

The board's handling of the landfill purchase threatens public trust in all future acquisitions of land, including conservation land, which is essential to protecting our water and providing green space for people and habitat for animals. Rescind and do it right.
The county should not be paying almost $190,000 per acre for land that is next to a landfill. Fix the infrastructure and only buy property that will appraise!!!
This is the most out-of-market, disingenuous contract I've seen in 20+ years of my commercial real estate experience.
Overpriced and there are other things that need to be addressed sooner than later, like sewage and drainage.
The very fact that these commissioners made such a decision without public input/approval is the very reason we need change on this board! Unacceptable!
What a waste of taxpayers money !!
Once again, bad decisions made by questionable people. When did you stop working for the people of our county? Did you ever start? Why are our tax dollars being spent on this? So many more things are needed! 86 this!!

The BOCC has had years to negotiate a proper deal. Our County administrator has no authority to not utilize the proper dept in this purchase and do proper due diligence on such a large real estate deal.
