Restore Edmonton's Democracy: Rescind. Rethink. Redo

A multi unit infill is proposed in our street. Would like to see zoning regulations reviewed.

Infill needs to apply to all areas of the city not only mature neighbourhoods. Such as: malls like Capilano and Bonnie Doon. Would like to see the Golden Homes in Holyrood be rebuilt for seniors.

I am concerned for all neighborhoods in the city.

City Council is not listening to qualified, experienced planners. We do not wish to be forced to move from our current homes due to over densification.

I have lived in my home for 57 years. The neigbourhood was not designed for high density development.

The lack of any reasonable bylaws has led to huge multi-family eyesores that ruin mature neighbourhoods and reduce property values.

I hope they can add a consideration for for parking and traffic congestion to an amended bylaw.

Extremely concerned regarding what is currently being built on what used to be a lot for a single family bungalow along with no information until it’s too late. Want Golden home property to be used for affordable housing for Seniors.

I am opposed to multi living units going up in an older established neighbourhood

This zoning bylaw needs to be repealed and then fixed so that infill properties work with the neighbourhood and address concerns such as parking.

I wish that the City could listen to the concerns of it's citizens.

We need fast action to stop the erosion of our neighborhoods to redevelopment without any input from tax payers in the Community.

The negative impacts of these irresponsible decisions being imposed upon us, are currently happening in our/my area. I have lived here for 60 plus years. It has taken all that time for this neighborhood and broader area to develop into a place with spectacular mature trees that make this area such a beautiful place to live. Every giant building that is erected, taking up the entire lot, is causing trees to be removed. It’s NOT ok. Where we live does not have the infrastructure to accommodate these kind of high density dwellings and the number of people that they will house. The roads are not large enough and the city has been making them SMALLER! The water pressure is already too low. There is not enough parking. I don’t believe that the city has even studied this part of the city to assess whether it can handle the density for which it is rezoning. The value of our properties will diminish significantly, not to mention the quality of living. We expect our government to look after its people, not just its coffers. There is so much more to say on this subject. Please listen to the people who live here! Please respect our preferences and choices. Please stop the destruction of our home.

Whatever happened to democracy? Majority of people against the rezoning & it's approved anyways by council....why do they put up the signs "SHare your feedback"? when they won't listen anyways!!

Putting these multi homes on one lot is not good. The old neighborhoods do not have the infrastructure to handle this. including parking. I did not move to my neighborhood to have some big ugly multi-unit building go up next door. The character of a lot of nicer neighborhoods is not being considered at all. This has to stop.

The new homes are going up with no thought to the affect on the neighbourhood.

I recently did an infill house in North Glenora. I love old neighbour hoods. However putting these multi homes on one lot is horrible. These neighbour hoods do not have the infrastructure to handle this. From parking to everything else! This has to stop.

Densification Gone Wrong

We have an eight unit row house built on a small residential lot in our neighbourhood. It covers the whole lot, and is not on a coner lot. This is an infringement on the homes on both sides of this building as the entrances are on the sides of the building. This building does not fit in with the character of our neighbourhood.
