There is what looks like an 8 plex being built. There is no parking for the occupants and parking only on one side of the street. How is that going to work out in the winter????
Ridiculous!

The City quietly implemented this. If greater density is the goal, why not require all new developments to be designed with this in mind, instead of ruining the existing desirability of living in mature neighborhoods.

All infill in residential neighborhoods should be limited to duplexes unless in a neighborhood of predominantly apartments.

We have had a lot of infill in Newton, due to the big lots in our area. Directly across the street from my home we have two new units which can house approximately 20 people per unit. many other units have also gone up in the immediate vicinity. The parking in our street is now a bit of a nightmare, often with no courtesy given to park in front of your own home.

The unfortunate results of this Bylaw are being felt in my block, in my neighbourhood and all over the City. The Bylaw goes too far.

There are too many infill houses already approved in my neighborhood. Poorly built placing strain on infrastructure, parking, garbage a constant concern , no place to put snow off driveways in the winter. Wood? Basements, they don't last long term. It's poorly planned not sustainable for a winter city. Wildlife birds are displaced, fruit trees, gone, dogs and feces are constant problem.

We bought our property over 40 years ago expecting it to be a neighbourhood of single family dwellings. We are fine with 2 “skinnies” on a lot or with a garden/garage suite. All pmdwellings should have a minimum of on site parking for 2 vehicles.

The lack of transparency and consultation is discouraging. We need to respect and preserve our mature neighborhoods and the families that have invested in them.

Individual neighbourhood planning & Community involvement is key. For some reason the city is ignoring this. It’s unacceptable.

A multi unit infill is proposed in our street. Would like to see zoning regulations reviewed.

Infill needs to apply to all areas of the city not only mature neighbourhoods. Such as: malls like Capilano and Bonnie Doon. Would like to see the Golden Homes in Holyrood be rebuilt for seniors.

City Council is not listening to qualified, experienced planners. We do not wish to be forced to move from our current homes due to over densification.

The lack of any reasonable bylaws has led to huge multi-family eyesores that ruin mature neighbourhoods and reduce property values.

I hope they can add a consideration for for parking and traffic congestion to an amended bylaw.
