Due to Hurricane Sandy, the Pharmacology exam has been moved from October 30th to November 6th. Consequently, the Pharmacology exam falls on the day before the Biochemistry exam scheduled for November 7th. As a class of the Professional Studies in the Health Sciences Office, we would like to request that we have our Biochemistry exam rescheduled. Per the lecture on October 31st, a potential review session will be made up and a potential expansion of professor’s office hours on Tuesday November 6th. Students would not be able to take advantage of the review session (which many students use as a gauge of their understanding of the material), nor would we be able to attend office hours due to programs’ strict schedule and having class commitments on Tuesday, November 6th as well as a Pharmacology test. Besides the inability to attend office hours and a review session, the nature of our program is to improve our academic standing, having consecutive exams that were not originally scheduled as such, compromises our ability to maximize our performance on each exam. Students in all programs would benefit from an exam rescheduling due to their workload as well. Although we do acknowledge the difficulties in rescheduling an exam, and that we as a class may have to proceed with new lectures before taking our exam. We would like to formally ask to reschedule the exam to any convenient day the following week of 11/12-11/16/12.
