Genetically modified food is a huge epidemic in the United States of America that many citizens are not aware of. Allowing genetically modified foods into our food system, especially without special labels, is creating intense health problems to our population. Many studies have been conducted which proved that genetically modified foods cause cancer, tumors, and the sterilization of the male and female reproductive organs. Most of our food is already contaminated and unnatural, even though the label may say "natural." It is nearly impossible to obtain pure, natural food in our country. This is a horrific problem in our country, and it is only getting worse. Our future generations will continue to suffer, and suffer much more greatly if this issue is not fixed. If you were born any time in the 1990's, chances are that most of the food you have consumed in your lifetime, if not all of it, was genetically modified. More than 90% of our food sold in our supermarkets IS genetically modified. Think about your health, and how you will suffer in your older age if this is all you have been exposed to. I urge you all to sign this petition in order to prevent the United States of America from continuing these inhumane acts of tampering with our food. We all deserve to know what we are eating, and putting labels on these genetically modified foods will give us all a chance to decide what is healthy for us, and our future generations.
