Medical CBD is safe and effective and the World Health Organization has agreed that it (CBD non-THC form) is a non-addictive pain reliever and an anti-inflammatory agent. Many other clinical uses are supported by copious amounts of scientific research yet millions of people are unable to use CBD because the cost is a barrier. People struggle to pay expensive insurance premiums and then find out they have zero coverage for medical CBD that could significantly impact their health and wellbeing. This needs to end. CBD from medical sources needs to be covered by private insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid (Medi-Cal in California). The time has come for insurance carriers to pay for things other than prescription medications!
