Students in grade school with learning and mental disabilities are provided classes which are taught by teachers who specialize in Special Education. However, colleges and universities are not legally required to provide Special Education classrooms, and only a few colleges are specifically for those with special needs. Professors who do not specialize in Special Education are not accustomed to teaching students with special needs; creating tension between teacher and student and causing the student emotional distress. In order to enhance the education and decrease the amount of stress on students with mental and learning disabilities, post secondary schools should be required to provide classes led by professors specialized in Special Education.​
