The former administrators have agreed to transfer ownership of the domain and database to the community. We are currently finalizing the legal paperwork for the transition and preparing the migration to a new host.

To the owners and administrators of OUYAforum.com
It may surprise you to hear that the OUYA fan community is still alive and active, in 2021.
OUYA Forum has so much pertinent information concerning OUYA's history and could be a great place for us to continue to share and discuss OUYA's legacy moving forward.
Sadly, the site seems to have been forgotten by the only parties capable of keeping it functional.
Even though this feels very familiar to OUYA owners, we are still hopeful that OUYAforum.com can be revived and maintained for the foreseeable future.
We're simply asking that the site be reactivated, and for the ability to approve new members (which is something that hasn't been possible for years).
If this requires a new Administrator to take over the reigns and for the OUYA community to donate to keep the website active, so be it.
Please consider our requests.

I am currently drafting a formal proposal to outline how community-led maintenance could secure the site infrastructure long term. Conversations are underway to identify a technical lead who can assume administrative access if the current owners remain unreachable.

The OUYA platform as a whole is important for indy developers who cannot afford the prices of having their games to be listed on major sites such as steam. The OUYA is how some get their name out there
I think it's crucial that as much information about legacy consoles be preserved as possible, OUYA very much included. I hope to see OUYAforum remain active so all the knowledge accumulated there isn't lost.
It was the first and only place for 1000's of OUYA fans, including Kickstarter backers, developers, owners, Team OUYA, Razer Representatives and more!
Indeed. Most of the content there has not been well archived, so in the event that it does come back, we need to backup all the threads and posts there, for the sake of OUYA's legacy.
Still is great! 4 Game Jams since the 2019 shutdown. A Discord server with 1500+ members. It's always been something for the gaming community to rally behind and there's nothing stopping it from staying that way.

OUYA continues to appear in conversations many years later as a friendly community in which little underground and experimental games were presented not only with dignity, but as the real thing. It's a piece of history for small indie games.
