Request to remove obstructions and restore safe access to Gurudwara sahib

This is a tragedy and should not be happening! Unacceptable behaviour

The City has done an extremely unfair action by blocking the entry into the Gurdwara sahib, not leaving street parking for early morning Sangat waiting for prayers for gates to open when other places on the street have been not discriminated in this manner. It will be appropriate for the City to remove these bikelanes blocking entry into the Gurdwara sahib and making it unsafe for worshippers.

Remove the trench planter boxes and cement structures that are blocking and restricting access to the Gurdwara Sahib.

Please remove unfair bike lanes in front of Penticton Sikh Temple. Very unsafe to enter and no street parking for morning prayers. Why are trees planted, bus stop moved and S entry to block all the Temple gates?

Extremely Unfair Bikelanes that make accessibility into our Gurudwara Sahib very unsafe. Request to the Committee to Please get appropriate channels to remove these very unsafe Bikelanes from our place of worship.

The bike lanes have made access into our place of worship very unsafe. Our members are very distressed over safe accessibility into our Gurdwara sahib. We respectfully request the city (as we had also done prior to building these bike lanes) to be fair and remove these bike lanes that have obstructed EVERY access into our place of worship. The City gave us NO street parking for our members coming for Early morning prayers.

Have very serious concerns about drivers trying to get out of the way of Emergency Response vehicles. Places to pull over which were prevalent before, are almost now nonexistent as they are very limited due to the reconstruction of the S. Main St. and being used by people. When you are in a slow moving lineup, there is nowhere to go so the ERVs are not able to respond to emergencies as they are trained to in a timely fashion. Also their limited places to pull over except for turn off streets and the odd parking space. How long will it be before ERV does not arrive in time to save a life??? I’m sure they have their previous clocked times that it would take for them to go a certain route such as South Main St. in order to arrive as quickly as they are able. Perhaps it will take a lost life and a lawsuit to take this situation seriously?

The city is doing something wrong by blocking the entrance to the gurdwara. I am deeply upset and saddened by how the city is ignoring the needs of the Sikh population by changing the environment without care. This is an unfair situation that causes an unsafe and ridiculous situation for the people who visit the gurdwara.

As a new driver, this road is very difficult to navigate and these poor businesses and temples are loosing so much traction. Do better Penticton.

Unsafe exits and entrances all along the bike route but especially in the area by the temple. Also note areas for parking along the route have fire hydrant in the middle of parking area so basically little parking in the parking area available.

The bus stop , the dangerous S entry way into our temple , blocked main parade gates and no street parking like others have on the street is unfair .

There is nothing good with this blockage on this road. It’s dangerous for people that live there.. The speed bumps are totally unnecessary.. blocking access next to the Salvation Army is ridiculous. Useless design.. people should be furious.
