Dear Michele,
Many of us had looked forward to the March 1st Annual General Meeting as an opportunity to learn about and discuss last year's developments at the school, information pertaining to the current financial situation, and plans (development, finances, etc.) for the coming year. As the AGM is now postponed with no clear and certain alternate date, we request that the March 3rd deadline to submit our contracts be postponed to a date after AGM.
We do not feel confident in making a decision about enrolling our children in TWS at such an uncertain time. We remain deeply committed to TWS and to a Waldorf education for our children, and look forward to the AGM.

Too much is up in the air right now to sign anything blind. We need the meeting info first.
You always have the option to hold back your contract but bear in mind it impacts on staffing and budget projections. Why not return your contract and check off the option that says "Need more information." You can even still qualify for the contest this way. This action feels political and divisive. I don't think it serves any clear purpose and I don't think it serves the needs of the community. I do not support it. Let us not further splinter into factions. Personally, I separate what goes on with the board from what goes on in the classroom and I would not make a different choice for Megan's education. A postponed AGM is a red flag to someone buying a condo but you don't even have to risk any deposit money to declare a conditional interest to the school. Sincerely, Gwen Jacob
