Dear Dekalb County Board of Commissioners:

The Dekalb County Board of Registration and Election convened on Monday, April 24, 2017.

Each Board Member was presented with a copy of a petition that 400 people signed supporting adding early voting locations for the runoff for the Congressional Seat in the Sixth District scheduled for June 20, 2017.

Each individual who spoke from the audience spoke in favor of adding early voting locations

Dekalb County Board of Registration and Election Chairman Samuel E. Tillman said after listening to each individual speak that he believed in the importance of early voting and that we may be pleasantly surprised how the Board votes regarding adding early voting locations when the Board votes on May 11, 2017.

We respectfully ask that you please begin the process of allocating the money and resources to fund the additional extra voting locations in anticipation of the Board of Registration and Election's expected vote on May 11, 2017 approving and adding additional early voting locations.
