Ms Dunbar, please also mention that the Fordhamites praised apostasy as an act of bravery. This is more insidious than even the sexual treachery they attempt to normalize.

As a convert to Orthodoxy, I was drawn to the Church by how they hold to the teachings taught from the beginning and not swayed by this morality of this age, as so many are. Please in reverence hold fast to the teachings and speak in love.

I appreciate the loving tone of this article while also being objective about what the church believes, that while we do not condemn the person, we should strongly encourage all to move towards a chaste, Orthodox sexual lifestyle. Quoting Bible verses about these people being "enemies" when we do not know their hearts (as I see often online) neglects the opposite side of the Church's character, mercy, and creates an equal idol of its rigidness as these people create an idol of its mercy. We need both. This petition's wording seems to align with that balance.
Yes, our bishops, I ask that, with prayer, you address these issues.
