I attended Yes's February 1972 concert at the Academy of Music in in New York, and I will tell you, with no exaggeration, that this was a life-changing experience for me. I have long wanted a tape of this concert, and now that one has been found, I cannot imagine it not being released!

The Bill Buford tracks are the best on Yessongs (no offense to Alan White). Now that Progeny is out it's time for Academy of Music, February 1972 and anything else from the end of the Fragile tour.

Hello,
it would be a great event to listen to the music in a fine packaged, commerced Box Set.
The name Bill Bruford glooms on over the world of music, of contemporary progressive music, of modern Jazz and Yes and especially that time, when he moved over is of an enormous significance.
It was, as Chis Welch noticed, like Steve Winwood leaving the Spencer Davis Group, a massive break. (I'm born '67, I'm grown in the eighties!! but when you found a better music in past ages you live and feel with those past movements and its weights).
See: The most meaningful names to me, leaving existence in the last years, are two and they are from that musical generation: BO HANSSON, the swede and EDGAR FROESE, the german fellow.
I always wanted to know the live experience of 'Close To The Edge' with the original team performing.
The more strange, the more quirk (maybe Bru plays, feeling bored or impatient, wanting to join Crimso or maybe he's in full flight), the better it could be!!!
The best thing to do would be restauring and releasing that music.
Live Dates With The Golden Mean Of Contemporary Rock
Anderson, Bruford, Squire, Wakeman, Howe
Thank you for reading,
we hope the best!
