This is a no-brainer, win-win for everyone.

I fully support the motion to allow teachers to keep their children at the Benninghoven school as transfer students.

Staci Newell is the main reason that we are in Girl Scouts at Benninghoven. Her daughter is not only a beloved third grade
classmate, but she is a Girl Scout
along with her peers. As an
educator, I've always known one of
the perks of a school as allowing
children of teachers to attend the
school where the parent teaches.
There are much more pressing
problems in education at the
moment that should be dealt with
rather than penalizing a child who
lives out of district but whose
parent spends countless hours
supervising other people's children. Mrs. Newell believes enough in
Benninghoven to want her child to
attend this school. Please reconsider.

My children both went to Highlands. It was a wonderful fit for my family. It might not be for every family, but trust your teachers to make a good decision for themselves, their families and their school

It's good employment policy to accommodate your employees' children in this way. SMSD leaders need to think more carefully about the effects of policy changes on all the people involved.

SMSD should be ashamed of themselves. And the state of Kansas wonders why they can't keep teachers!

I believe that it is the best interest of the child if they remain in the same school they have been attending, if at all possible. And if that means with their parent who teaches then they should do that.
