Mr. Fletcher did not follow his own district policy, failed to notify parents in a timely manner, put students and staff in jeopardy with repeated poor judgment during a potentially dangerous situation at WMS.

The district addressing the situation by acknowledging the poor judgment and claims it will make better decisions in future situations. If you believe that trust has been irrevocably broken amd that consequences must take place, please sign this petition calling for the immediate resign of Mr. Chad Fletcher, principal of Westwood Middle School.

The actions and the deceit in this matter can not be overlooked. An apology just isn't good enough. This wasn't a kid fought smoking in the boys room it was a gun.And the school flat out lied about the details. As far as I'm concerned anybody in that school that has downplayed this or acted as if parents overreacted should be fired as well. The safety of our children is not something that should ever be taken lightly by anyone in that school.

YES! He as well as Mr. Graf need to resign. My daughter sits next to this kid in two of her classes. That gun was that close to my child on several occasions... It was not a simple mistake. It was a mistake that could’ve ended much worse.

Chad Fletcher made a series of critical errors last week that jeopardized the lives of WMS students, staff, and visitors who were in the building with the armed student. Common sense dictates that police should have been called as soon as there was information that a weapon might be in the school. I believe that the incompetent handling of this incident followed by delayed and misleading communication to parents and the media adequately demonstrate that the school board has cause to review the incident and relieve Mr. Fletcher from his position as principal.

Saftey for our children should be number one. The WMS administration has horribly failed providing Saftey to the students. This is turning out to look like a cover up, from Director Wilkerson down to Fletcher. Not only should they be removed, there should also be an independent counsel to look into this issue.

I used to attend this school and this is not ok. I have friends that trusted their children had a safe place to go to school. This is not true!

Inexcusable Incompetence and ALL involved Person(s) should be held accountable and not just on the City Level! Perhaps National Attention will wake up the Manchester City School Administrators as well as WMS Faculty and Manchester Police Dept. as to what’s right.....

The administration in that school is horrible! I'm so thankful my daughter no longer goes there!
