I agree to the notion raised. Why should the afrikaaner learners receive their home language as a medium of instruction while Pedi learners are deprived of their own? how is that fair if Tom Naude is said to be a 'government English medium' high school?

As a former student who was taught Sepedi at the school...I'm disappointed that it has to come to this. Let us make a stand for our siblings.

We must take swift actions against any element that wishes to continually undermine black people, their culture, traditions, beliefs, ethos and languages. A petition is not enough, one arrogant move from a simple school board cannot be given the diplomacy it does not deserve. Ineffective MEC's and their poor governance contribute to the state of disarray and shame that both the basic and higher education systems in the country find themself. Stop Apartheid Tom Naude! We will defend our own.

Government may you please intervene in this matter. BRING BACK SEPEDI AT TOM NAUDE TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL. I BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE STILL STUDENTS WHO WISH TO BE ENGINEERS AND THEY NEED TOM NAUDE TO GIVE THEM THE FOUNDATION(INTRODUCTION) THEY NEED IN THE MENTIONED CAREER. LET'S NOT CLOSE DOORS FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO DO ENGINEERING JUST BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW AFRIKAANS.

Please bring back sepedi in Tom Naudé THS and let other kids to have an opportunity to pursue their dreams of becoming engineers

This has taken away the opportunity for many black students to become engineers. Students must be allowed to take Sepedi as their Home Language, why is Afrikaans being upheld when they are the minority? Why do Afrikaners have the advantage of going through their education in a language their most comfortable in, yet black students are refused a single subject in their own language? We have compromised enough by studying in English, a language which isn't our home language. This just goes to show that nothing has changed in our country, there are white supremacist structures upholding it and that's why the department just allows Tom Naude to remove Sepedi. Catch up with the times, we are going to decolonise these institutions, and nothing is going to stop us. The time has come for black bodies to exist and be recognised.

Bring back Sepedi! We're In a democratic dispensation that asked for responsibility by all towards achieving the goal of reconciliation and integration. The removal of an indigenous language on indigenous land is wrong!
