I am a responsible purebred dog owner. My husband is allergic to many dogs so I thought I would never get one again because he is a pilot and can't fly if he get's congested. Then came the Briard. He is allergie free and I love my dogs. We have 5 un spayed or nutered and have had no accidental breedings. If you are responsible you have plenty of time to recognize the signs and prevent backyard breeding. the American public needs to be educated. I will always own my purebred Briards even if it means leaving America.

I agree, as members of our breed club we should stand by to help support this national endeavor to support all pure breed dogs.

I agree, a donation of any amount seems reasonable.

We will not need the club money if Animal Rights Agendas prevail.

A donation of $100-200 is not going to break the BCA piggy bank. What it will do is support the efforts of someone who has worked tirelessly--and gratis!-- via her blog, Twitter, and the NPDD page to educate the public about purpose-bred dogs and to celebrate their legacy and contributions. I don't hide my thoughts regarding the things that the fancy *is not doing* to polish its image and how it has allowed the animal rights contingent to control the conversation. Susi is doing that work for the AKC and the breed clubs, and her efforts should be rewarded and encouraged.
