The below signed residents of Cinco Ranch II are requesting that a crossing ramp be installed in the sidewalk adjacent to the parking lot at Stanley Elementary as well as a sidewalk poured along the fence line up to the gate entrance of the school property
Students from Oak Forest subdivision must crossCinco Terrece.Katy ISD has approved a crossing guard and a police officer as needed to assistthe students with traffic.The board should install a ramp to help students get off of the sidewalk safely. The sidewalk along the fence line will allow students to remain a safe distance from a busy parking lot without walking in tall grass with ant hills and snakes that often hide in the tall grassy areas.
Katy ISD has already hired the crossing guard and installed the gate according to agreement made in July.

Katy ISD leadership is ignoring the dangers students face while walking through snake-infested weeds just to reach school. They already paid for a crossing guard but refuse to finish the job by pouring a simple sidewalk. We are calling them out until they stop forcing our children to walk in the dirt.

The momentum behind this demand is proving that we are done waiting for Katy ISD to finish what they started. They already put a guard in place but they are leaving our kids to walk through snake-infested grass instead of finishing the sidewalk. This pressure is finally forcing them to look at the mess they ignored.

Too many cars zoom through that lot. My son already had a close call near the fence line.
Snakes in the grass near a school? Seriously? Get this done.
Ridiculous that this wasnt done when the school was finished. Fix the drainage and put a path in for the kids.
Do it for the safety of the neighborhood kids. Seems like a simple fix that should have happened months ago.
Crossing that street without a ramp is an accident waiting to happen. Please just put one in.
