Dear Dr. Brouwer,

We hope this message finds you well. As parents of the Grade 3 students, we want to first thank you for all the effort, care, and dedication you put into supporting our children’s growth and education. We know the decisions you make are never easy, and we appreciate the thoughtful attention you give to the well-being of the students.

We are writing in regard to the recent cancellation of the Grade 3 Chandos trips. Many of us were saddened by this news, as we know how much the children were looking forward to it. To better understand the broader parent perspective, we conducted a poll within the Grade 3 parents group and found that a large majority of families would still like to see this trip move forward, and attendance would likely be strong.

With this in mind, we kindly ask if it might be possible to reconsider the decision or, at the very least, to explore the opportunity for one Chandos trip for the Grade 3 class this year. We believe even one overnight trip would mean a great deal to the students and provide them with a memorable learning experience.

We would also be very willing to assist in any way that might help—whether through volunteering, planning support, logistics, or coordination—so this can be a positive and manageable experience for everyone involved.
