Request for Reconsideration of Grade 11 Final Exams

fair is fair. if g12 and g10 get theirs off we should too. we are all suffering

we really cant do this. way too much pressure

honestly just cancel them we have had no time to study with all this going on

Good afternoon, I hope you’re doing well. I’m writing as a Grade 11 student to talk about the decision to continue with our EOY exams. Honestly, this feels really unfair when we look at what’s happening with other grades. In our school, Grade 10 had their IGCSE exams canceled, and Grade 12 had their IB exams canceled. The Grade 12 half IB students also had their EOY exams canceled given the fact that their exams were internal and administered by the school. These decisions were clearly made because of the situation right now. But for us in Grade 11, we are still expected to continue as normal, even though we are going through the same conditions. Over the past weeks, studying has been extremely difficult. During online classes, there have been constant emergency alerts, and everyone gets stressed and distracted. In some cases, students even had to leave their homes suddenly, sometimes during lessons. It’s been very hard to focus, understand, or keep up with the content. Because of all this, many of us feel unprepared. It’s not because we didn’t try, but because the situation made it very hard to actually learn properly. At the same time, we are dealing with a lot of stress and fear, which makes it even harder to study or revise. Continuing with exams in these conditions does not feel fair, and it does not reflect our real abilities. We are all being affected in the same way as other grades, so we don’t understand why the same consideration was not given to us. We kindly ask if this decision can be reconsidered, and for our situation to be taken seriously. We just want a fair chance, especially given everything that has been happening. Thank you for your understanding.
