Request for Immediate Implementation of Contraception Coverage in Georgetown Student Health Insurance
We, the undersigned Georgetown University School of Medicine students, strongly urge you to include contraception coverage on our student health insurance plans beginning in August 2012. As a religious-affiliated university, we recognize that Georgetown has the option of waiting an additional year - until August 2013 - to cover contraception. However, we advocate that Georgetown does not exercise this option, as it would only delay inevitable coverage and increase health risks associated with lack of contraception for another year.

it is 2012 already. this should be standard coverage for every student regardless of where they go to school.
Fix this now. Waiting another year is just silly.
georgetown needs to get with the program seriously. health insurance is for health. stop letting personal beliefs dictate policy.
So frustrating. We are medical students we know exactly why this is needed.
Ridiculous that we have to fight for this. Just cover it.

Preventative care is healthcare. Stop making students pay out of pocket for basic needs.
