Thank you for taking the initiative to get this going. I cringe each morning when my kids head off to walk to school. There should also be a speed trap for all those racing to class at UCC.

Springfield at Miln remains frightening to cross despite the measures installed there. Absent a crossing guard and enforcement, the situation will remain grim.

Even as an adult I have difficulty crossing Springfield Avenue. If a driver is glancing down at their phone and somebody enters the crosswalk the pedestrian cpuld be killed as most traffic on Springfield Avenue goes above 35 mph. Please provide not only a crossing guard but one of those orange cones that stays in the middle of the road so the drivers can slow down a bit and be alerted so they can check the crosswalk in advance.

I hope the response is not to walk to the guard on Hampton as it was in the past. The committee should start at Romore with a group of small kids and walk to that guard, cross & walk all the way back towards Brookside. Silly!

I have witnessed very dangerous situations both as a pedestrian and as a driver at this intersection during prime school commute hours.

Not enough motorist stop at the crosswalks on Springfield Ave. I fully support this effort.
